I am a photographer from Mersea Island in England, often influenced by my surroundings. My work encompasses a cinematic, narrative-driven approach. I enjoy exploring concepts of place and memory to approach ideas which combine elements of the imagined and the real. Certain atmospheres underpin the style of my work and subsequently a sense of emotion is investigated. My current practice investigates feelings of uncertainty about the modern world and the theme of dystopia.
I recently completed an MA in Photography at Norwich University of the Arts, after graduating with a BA(Hons) in Photography in 2018. My work has been exhibited and published internationally, including at Millepiani in Rome, The Atkinson Gallery in Somerset and The Old Truman Brewery and Printspace in London. Places where my work has been published include Dodho Magazine and Fotonostrum Magazine. My solo exhibition 'Mersea Island' took place in 2018. I have had success in competitions such as the Moscow International Foto Awards, the Association of Photographers Awards and the Batsford Prize.
